{meet the artist}

i am a girl with a camera who just happens to be married to the most wonderful guy and mommy to the most spoiled boxer on the planet {no, no – you don’t understand.  he really is the most spoiled boxer on the planet.} and we live just a stone’s throw away from charlotte, nc.

i became a photographer several years ago after i decided to leave the world of mortgages and real estate behind.  it was by far the best decision i had ever made.  i gathered up my courage and bought a nikon – not because it’s a nikon.  i actually tossed a coin before leaving the house – do i want canon?  or nikon?  tails won and i went home with a nikon.

i don’t typically shoot flash unless i absolutely need it and i rarely need it – i’m a natural light gal through and through.  my favorite subjects are dogs and kids and if i can get them together that’s even better.  and nothing thrills me more than being invited into someone else’s world to capture their life moments – to turn them into memories that they will cherish for generations to come.

another passion that i have is boxer rescue.  i cannot bring them all into my home {space is an issue – i don’t live on 1000 acres in montana} so i donate portions of the sales from our boxer’s images to carolina boxer rescue.  if you are involved with a boxer rescue or organization, please introduce yourself to me.  i can’t help everyone but i will certainly do my best.  or, if you would like to purchase boxer prints you can do so through here ::  have camera will travel {my shop at etsy}.
